In the last year and a half with funding from the NIH, an inter-disciplinary team from the Broad Institute, University of Miami, National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS), Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, the Scripps Research Institute, University of New Mexico and Vanderbilt University have developed a next-generation Biological Assay Research Database (BARD) that provides:
- an assay catalog with rigorous data standards
- a well-architected data model for storing and querying assay results
- a user-friendly interface with accessible analytical tools to query bioassay data.
The initial data set available from http://bard.nih.gov/ will contain the first set of projects fully migrated into the BARD system, which we will use to demonstrate the capabilities and richness of data BARD is designed to handle.
We welcome your interest and your feedback!
